A workshop was held by the HEC in a collaboration with IPO on Establishment of TISC Network:

A workshop was held by the HEC (Higher Education Commission) in a collaboration with IPO (Intellectual Property Organization) on the technology to innovation and for creating TISC (Technology and Innovation Support Centre) in Pakistan.


The workshop gave hands-on practices and mindfulness about specialized devices and systems on patent databases and additionally protected innovation. The mindfulness sessions were gone to by more than 70 members/central people from advanced education organizations and R&D foundations the nation over.

The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Dr. Arshad Ali, Executive Director HEC. The ceremony was held at the Commission Secretariat in Islamabad.
This workshop was held on different topics which include Promotion of the Innovation. The discussions in this ceremony were based on Convenience and Value of the Patent Info for the Private and Public Sectors, Project of WIPO on plans for Establishing the Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs).

Some other important things were also discussed such as search tools and strategies for Patent search, patent filing trend in Pakistan, International patent classification (IPC) for Searching, Searching patent utilizing PATENTSCOPE, Searching patent utilizing Espace net, and an overview of TISC Resources which includes Website, e-TISC Platform, E-Tutorial, WIPO Academy Distance Learning Courses, Patent landscape Reports.
