Whatsapp, the Messaging Application brings back their text status feature in app. Text status reappeared in Whatsapp app in android version and come soon to iPhone mobile phones.

Whatsapp just recently launched its new ‘Stories’ feature in February and removed text status from app. Stories mentioned as a status just like Snapchat and Instagram applications. Whatsapp replaced their text status with Stories feature. People can upload any picture or videos on stories for 24 hours. After 24 hour the picture or video will be deleted automatically.

But now Whatsapp reappeared the text status feature on Whatsapp application last week. Now people can also upload text status on Whatsapp. This feature reappeared on every android mobile phone and come soon to iPhone mobile phones.

Whatsapp user just open the About section from android mobile phones and set text status on your profile. People can see the new text status when they open your contact and starting new chat. And people can also looking your status from group chat info. You can see in the picture.


WhatsApp stated that on statement,

We heard from our users that people missed the ability to set a persistent text-only update in their profile, so we’ve integrated this feature into the ‘About’ section in profile settings. Now, the update will appear next to profile names anytime you view contacts, such as when creating a new chat or looking at Group info.

They also mentioned in statement that,

At the same time, we’re continuing to build on the new Status feature that gives people fun and engaging ways to share photos, videos and GIFs with their friends and family throughout their day.
