Toyota Recalls 1 Million Prius and C-HR Due to Fire Risk

Toyota’s hybrid cars have caught fire on multiple occasions in recent days and the company has issued a massive worldwide recall to prevent any future risk for owners.

More than one million Prius & C-HR  vehicles have a wiring flaw which is causing the surrounding internet to burst into fire.This issue is related to the wires connecting to the power control unit,which has very week insulation that is prone to wearing down over time, and causing a short circuit.

If that happens , the short circuit can also cause a fire within a system.According to Prius’s company,around 192,000 Prius with problem are in Us and more than 550,000 require a recall in Japan.

VARIANTS INCLUDED:
Toyota dealers will repair these cars at no cost,They will repair the wire problem in Prius .

If there is no visual damage in wires then the dealers will apply a protective tape over the wires to make it safe in future.

This September Toyota is contacting owners of such vehicles, however you can enter your vehicle details on Toyota recalls website to see if your vehicle is also included in the list.
