During last 5 years ,the IT (information technology) has provided IT services to over 100 countries.
ANUSHA REHMAN informed the National Assembly that;
“Pakistan’s IT and Information Technology enabled Services (ITeS) Industry has exported software development services, and IT-enabled services such as call center services to over 100 countries, since 2013.”
Anusha Rehman said that Pakistan exports about 71% It services to United kingdom,United Arab Emirates and united state.
In obedience to the trade data of the first two quaters of 2018, a report developed by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) , the other main export destinations of Pakistan other than US, UAE and UK are Singapore, Malaysia, Ireland, China, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Norway, Netherland, Finland, Austrailia, Sweden, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Switzerland, South Korea, Denmark, Belgium, Sri Lanka, South Africa, France, Oman, Turkey, Qatar, Spain and Kuwait.
The Minister of Pakistan ANUSHA said that ministry of IT and MoITT and PSEB increase the IT and ITes products of Pakistan through initiatives and programmes such as Industry advocacy, software houses, and through international marketing of local IT products.
At the present days , she added the incentives for IT and ITes industry include zero income tax on IT exports till 2019, 3 year tax holiday for IT startups with no minimum tax and withholding tax.
Pakistan’s IT industry is on fast growth these days it is expected that Information Technology (IT) Enabled Services (ITES) export of Pakistan will reach the mark of $5 billion by 2020 due to the tax relief by government has given to the sector of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) .
