Stand taken against companies not paying minimum wages


Who could have imagined that the government will take strict actions on companies that pay their employees lower than the Minimum wage?

Just now The department which is in charge of the Labor in the ICT sector took really strict legal actions on companies such as PTCL, Radio Pakistan and Utility Corporation because they were found not paying some of their employees above the minimum wage which is RS 14,000.

around 400 from Radio Pakistan and around 32 from Utility Stores Corporation ( employees) were found not being paid the minimum wage.

but this is not the first time that the government is taking a stand against companies not paying the minimum wage

Before, around 1200 CDA employees and around 7100 Agriculture Research Centre employees were made sure that they get minimum wage.
