Samsung Galaxy A50 Review

Samsung was struggling to launch budget phones that offer more functionalities at a low cost. As Chinese companies are taking the entire mobile market with its low budget smartphones for the last few years. But this year seems a lucky one for Samsung. In Mobile World Congress Samsung has been recognized as the first Smart Phone Industry to launch world first foldable screen.

In a time of advanced smartphones technology, it’s difficult to bring a high-end phone at a low cost. Samsung Galaxy A50 shows real hard work in making such a cute low budget phone.

They recently revealed Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, Galaxy A50 strongly relates the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30, but there are some premium features added to A-series makes them different and demanding.

Galaxy A50 promises quite new few features. Mainly they put an in-display fingerprint sensor and three rear cameras. But it’s the current price is higher than Samsung Galaxy M-series models.

Display of Samsung A50

Featuring the display Galaxy A50 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen. This panel type and display size were also used in Galaxy A30 and Galaxy M30. Galaxy A series have the same scoop-shaped Infinity-U notch. But Samsung has really worked in trimming the borders around the screen which are quite great. There are still some noticeable borders, but they are made smooth which matter least with such low-cost smartphones.

The in-display fingerprint sensor gives weight to the phones, but sadly it takes 2-3 seconds to unlock which is quite a disappointment. The ultrasonic sensor is not the one they used in Galaxy S10 series. But as we said easier that in low budget phones doesn’t matter at all. The Face Unlock feature is good news for buyers which is quicker then we expected.

The material used in the rear of the is still unknown but it feels like Plastic or Polycarbonate. The panel curves are made up of metal and there are no sharp edges. You can choose from color options like Black, White, Blue and Coral Pink. The rear of black reflects light in a rainbow pattern which looks amazing.

The vertical triples camera module is in the upper left corner. The design is inspired by the previous Galaxy A7 2018 models. The LED flash is right below the cameras.

The power and Volume button is on the right side of the phone, and are easy to reach. Galaxy A50 uses USB Type-C port as well as a 3.5mm headphones jack. The dual-SIM tray with its dedicated microSD card slot is on the upper left. Samsung Galaxy A50 uses specially designed built-in themes, with darker on the top really makes Front camera hide.
