Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) decided to establish the indentification system in Pakistan to secure mobile phone users data. They also efforts to stop the usage of unauthorized mobile phones. The protection of mobile phone across the country.

According to the reports, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will establish Mobile Devices Identification, Registration and Blocking Regulations, 2017. The indentification system comes due to the high demand of the customers of mobile phones users and even Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) also demand for this system in the country.

The stolen mobile phones will be blocked by the MNO’s from the use in Pakistan. Mobile phone owners will reports on the helpline for the stolen or lost of the mobile phone. The mobile phone users may prove the duplicate IMEI devices.

The personal use of smartphone must be apply for the certification for IMEI devices issued by PTA. The un-registered devices including in the black list. The black listed smartphones will not activated on lost or stolen.
