Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) hold auction on 16th May 2017 for new NGMS spectrum (3G,4G) mobile service in Pakistan.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) recently announce the final date of next generation NGMS 3G 4G auction. They ready to hold an auction on 16th Maay 2017. They will establish and operate 3G 4G mobile service in Pakistan.

They also mention the price of 1800MHz, 2×10 block around USD 295 million. The next generation spectrum included in NGMSA of 10 MHz paired spectrum. A License will be given to the best bidder of the spectrum to establish and operate a technology in the country.

The price is set at $295 million for 14 telecom regions of Pakistan excluding AJK Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). The license of the spectrum will take all possible measures and there is no interference to other licenses of a network in the country.

According to the other networks in Pakistan, the auction of 3G and 4G licenses raised at 1.112 billion in 2014. Telenor participated of 850 MHz 4G spectra in 2016 and Ufone is the only network company that does not have 4G spectrum in Pakistan. In last two auctions, the government earned $1.5 billion.
