HEC Pakistan composed a service to grant 3,000 scholarships for Afghan National Students:
HEC (Higher education Commission) Pakistan composed a service to grant 3,000 scholarships for Afghan National Students under Allama Iqbal Scholarships Programme at Pak-China Friendship Center here on Wednesday. The president of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain was the chief guest on the event. Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Fareeda Mohmand, Minister for Higher Education, Afghanistan, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman HEC, Mr. Omar Zakhilwal, Ambassador of Afghanistan to Pakistan, Mr. Syed Abrar Hussain, Ambassador of Pakistan to Afghanistan, Vice Chancellors, employees, and a substantial number of Afghan understudies went to the function.
Mr. Mamnoon Hussain Said:
Mr. Mamnoon Hussain complimented the Afghan understudies on benefiting grants and said that “We were brothers; we are brothers, and we will remain brothers in all circumstances to come,”. The President said the motivation behind honor of grants to Afghan students is to give them similar chances of getting an advanced education which is being reached out to Pakistani students and create and advance mutually. He trusted that the understudies will feel at home while seeking after their reviews in Pakistan and will go back to serve their nation. Mr. Sartaj Aziz named the honor of grants a point of reference in the reciprocal relations and said the Government of Pakistan will keep on supporting Afghanistan.
Pakistan relations with Afghanistan:
He said Pakistan very values its relations with Afghanistan, including that the shared relations are flourishing regardless of challenges. The Afghan Minister, Vice Chancellors and different dignitaries to Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed highlighted the accomplishments of HEC concerning the advancement of advanced education in Pakistan.
