Google rolled out Google Maps updates for desktop users, allowing them to create and share their location
Earlier in this year, Google rolled out many updates for Google Maps mobile app. The iOS and android users are allow to share location with your friends and family with the help of maps. Later on, the company rolled out the updates for the Maps, allowing them to create and share list of location.
All these features were limited to only smartphone users and web based users just see the places. Now, finally, Google released the update for the Google Maps for desktop users. We all have been waiting for the feature sporting desktop.
Desktop Map user finally create and share list of locations by following the same pattern as the smartphone users. You have to find out the place on the Google Maps > click on the “Save” icon from the left pane > add the place. The users can not only add the place at maps, but also start a new list on the map.
Once on adding up the new place of interest on Google Maps, the users will receive a pop up sound with the confirmation of the location. You can see the confirmation pop up at the bottom of the map. The user can also see the new set location with the mark on the interest location at the map.
Moreover, the users willing to move their set location tap on the “Saved” tab under the main menu of maps and you can get a link over there, share it to Google+, Facebook, or Twitter. The users can make the list private, shared, or public according to once preference. According to the report:
When you click the share icon on a list, you’ll be able to set its privacy level; get a shareable link; or share it to Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
