Google Pixel 2 is thinking to not launch Qualcomm Snapdragon Chip Inside
- Was rumored to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836
Till now all the rumors were pointing toward the launch of a new Qualcomm chip, alongside the upcoming Google Pixel 2. Well looks like that won’t longer be the case, as according to recent reports. The upcoming Google Pixel 2 won’t be running on a new chip. Which was rumored to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836. While currently every flagship smartphone comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 inside. That includes the Galaxy S8, Moto Z2, OnePlus 5 and the recently launched LG V30 and Galaxy Note 8.
Aside from that Android Police and XDA Developers also reported that Google will be taking help from two different smartphone manufactures this year. Where the Pixel 2 will be handled by HTC, while the Pixel 2 XL will be manufactured by LG. Both of which will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 inside. For now we are not sure whether Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip. But one thing is for sure it won’t be a new chip this time around.
Maybe rumors regarding the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL using a new chip were based on its predecessors. Which were using a slightly more powerful chip known as Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. Which saw the light of day with the first Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Aside from that it is also rumored that only the Google Pixel 2 XL will come with a bezel-less display. While the Google Pixel 2 will sport a normal display with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio. Which should make both the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL come with the exact same dimensions. Though the only difference between the two would be the display size and resolution. But it would be nice if Google equips both of its upcoming smartphones, with a bezel-less display instead.
