Facebook temporarily banned in Pakistan till the blasphemous in Under control.


Civil society temporarily bans largest social media network ‘Facebook‘ in Pakistan till the blasphemous is control or fully blocked.

According to the civil society, they temporarily blocked largest social media network in Pakistan. They also added that Facebook blocked in Pakistan till the blasphemous is control or fully blocked.

Civil society appeals to Islamabad High Court that Facebook temporary blocked in Pakistan. According to the appeal, largest social media website Facebook till the Pakistan government has permanently removed blasphemous content from websites.

For the petition, Secretary Ministry of Interior, Secretary Ministry of Information and Technology, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) through its Chairman, Federal Investigation Authority through its Director General, Inspector General of Islamabad police and Pakistan Electronic Media Authority (PEMRA) these ministers have been cited as respondents.

In May 2010, Pakistan government ordered that all internet services blocked Facebook bacause they spread the event of blasphemous. And also in 2012 Youtube was banned in Pakistan because they also posted content on Youtube.

According to the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Khan stated last week, all the social media blocked who have blasphemous content.

PTA chairman stated that, they closed the pages of blasphemous because they still posted on Facebook against our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), Suhab-e-Kram,  and Quran-e-Pak.
