Facebook removed 85 percent Blasphemous material from Facebook on the request of Government of Pakistan.


The Facebook administration now removed 85 percent Blasphemous from Facebook on the request of Government of Pakistan (GoP).

Facebook is the largest social media network website. The Blasphemous content has happened on the Facebook website from few months. In that case, GoP takes action against Facebook. They were also mentioned that if they did not remove Blasphemous from Facebook GoP banned Facebook in Pakistan.

Yesterday, Interior Minister of Pakistan informed to Islamabad High Court that Facebook social media network removed 85 percent Blasphemous material from Facebook and 15 percent left. Facebook administration removed 85 percent on the request of Government of Pakistan.

The Interior Secretary Arif Khan also stated that Facebook takes an action against the blasphemous content. He also said that 15 percent material is left on Facebook and he also said that banning of Facebook is not the solution of a problem.

According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) they also arrested three suspects who involved in blasphemous material and they post such material on social media.

The PTA chariman state that,

A team, comprising 25 members, has been working to search blasphemous content online. He said that the authority has so far taken action against 40 such pages. Facebook agreeing to our demands is a big achievement.

IHC Judge Justice, Aziz Siddiqui informed that the court would be decided about social media networking websites should be banned in Pakistan or not. Earlier this month, Pakistan Government approached Facebook, after that Facebook also decided to send delegation in Pakistan and solved the issue.
