Stray Rescue of St. Louis volunteers were out and about on St. Patrick’s Day when they came across a sweet pup in need of assistance.Their shelter was full, but it was raining outside, and they couldn’t leave this dog out in the rain.It was unclear how long she had been on the streets, but her head was covered in scars and she appeared to have had many litters in the past, indicating that she had a rough life.

She was most likely used for breeding before being dumped and abandoned by her owner when she was no longer needed or deemed “useless.”She began wagging her tail as soon as rescuers called her over, as if relieved to see someone paying attention to her and willing to help her.

Without hesitation, the pup crossed the street and gently crawled through the grass to the rescuers.
She let them pet her and put her on a leash.Once in the car, the dog leaned against the rescuer’s shoulder, thanking her for saving her life.

They returned her to their rescue, where she received medical attention and will soon be ready to find her forever home!
